The food industry is constantly evolving and must successfully respond to a myriad of challenges originating from multiple sources.  This means that organizations within the industry must continually innovate and change in order to stay competitive.  For these companies, project management can be a powerful tool for helping them achieve their goals quickly and efficiently. This not only helps ensure that goals are met but also allows managers to identify areas of improvement or risk that need addressing before they become major issues in the project.  Additionally, project management can help teams stay organized and keep communication flowing between departments so everyone is up-to-date with changes or progress within the project.

The use of project management tools is not isolated to capital projects.  Project management can help reduce costs by improving efficiency in production and distribution processes.  By utilizing project management methods such as cost-benefit analysis, resource allocation, scheduling optimization, and risk assessment, companies can identify areas of improvement that will help them save money. Additionally, project management helps to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. This reduces the risk associated with delays or budget overruns which could result in costly penalties or lost revenue opportunities for businesses operating in this highly competitive industry sector.

Project Scoping, Analysis, Planning, & Governance

The first group of project activities sets the tone for the remainder of the project.  The unofficial first step is to create the vision for what the project intends to deliver.  That vision is then memorialized in the project scope document, budget, schedule, and other critical documents required by corporate governance.  Proteico's resources can deliver on every aspect of this phase of your project.

Design, Testing, & Pre-Implementation Training

The detail required for a successful result is captured early in the design activity.  We finalize the design only after a thorough review of the business requirements and any necessary prototyping and table top exercises.  We develop an exhaustive testing program with input from key team members.  Testing is the key to delivering what is needed for your organization.  We move to training only after we have completed testing and have prepared the business users for the training activity by completing concept training first.  We must simply teach the why that supports the how in order to launch a successful project.

Implementation, & Support

A solid and well thought out implementation plan is developed well ahead of the implementation phase.  Every detail is considered and captured in the plan.  From who will provide meals to support personnel to computer passwords and door keys.  We don't miss anything, because even the smallest detail can have a catastrophic impact on the project.  We leave no stone unturned when it comes to executing the implementation of the project.

Monitoring & Optimizing

Implementation is not the end, it is just the beginning.  We monitor organizational performance as the project is implemented.  We compare it to the anticipated performance and make changes as necessary to achieve or exceed the performance of the organization.  Once we attain the anticipated level of performance, we immediately begin to identify the next level of performance and put together a plan to achieve those results.
